i think this book will only dissapoint you if you are impatient. Some parts are really unexpected and shocking. The ending is great but very sad.The only bit i dont like is all the romance.I dont know why but ginny really bothers me.she seems such a smart arse and comes across cold.I also was really put off by her "blazing look" .that belongs in mills and boon and other papaerback romance books.
but i love the books anyway!!!

I took this book into the Sierra backcountry on vacation. I chose it because it was light and wouldn't weigh me down. Imagine my surprise when I finished it two short evenings into a 10 day trip with nothing else to read but a map. Eight days later, I had read the book three times. Each time was as good or better than the last. Never before have I been able to read and reread a book and be completely engrossed every time. If you know the beauty of the Sierra backcountry, then you know it would take something special to tear you away from it. This book is very special. When I got home, I pulled out my old LVD of Slaughterhouse Five and watched it. Po te weet. MHR

Review of The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
The Two Towers is an in-depth story about the faring of each individual member of the fellowship after it was broken in The Fellowship of the Ring. Some were bracing for war against the evil of Sauron. Others were dealing with the treachery of the evil wizard Saruman.Tolkien masterfully conveys his message to the reader. The general theme of this book is that good always triumphs over evil, and the author displays this in the text very well. When the reader thinks that the fight is hopeless, a miracle happens and good triumphs in the end. When I read this book, I found it to be exhilerating and fulfilling to me. I would recommend that anyone who needs a good book should read this.

"Aye, he were a right decent feller"

This is a poignant and earthy memoir of a man beloved by his family and friends as much as by his countless thousands of fans the world over. James Wight, son of the famous "James Herriot", does an admirable job of filling in the often less than idyllic real-world background for an idyllic life and phenomenal literary success, without spoiling the effect of a humble, sensitive, and rewarding life. James Herriot often averred that he was 99% vet, and 1% writer, but he was 100% human, and beloved for his warmth and concern for all creatures great and small. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as an insightful and readable account of the Yorkshire vet known the world over, and find it a fitting conclusion to the Herriot stories. How pleasant to think that it might also be the beginning of a literary career for yet another "Herriot", as James Wight's aptitude with the written word moves the account along admirably, and does his father proud.

The excellence continues!!
Rating: 5/5

After eagerly awaiting Wit'ch Fire's sequel, I was not to be disappointed. Wit'ch Storm continues the excellent characters and story development that I so very much appreciated in the first book. I continue to enjoy the individual characters and yes, unlike other sequels the plot continues to develop and get more interesting. I especially liked the new characters of Sy-wen and Kast and hope to read more about them. I very much appreciate Mr. Clemens ever developing imagination and writing technique. The reader at all times is capable of knowing what is going on, the battle scenes are especially well written so that I could easily picture every moment. This is a skill very few writers have mastered. This book has everything a reader would want: action, fantasy, humor, pathos, intrigue and yes a little romance. Thank you Mr. Clemens I look forward to your next book.

PARTY UNDER THE LIGHTS
Rating: 5/5

I really like this book Friday Night Lights more than any other book I ever red. This book really makes you think about how different high school football is in Texas then in New York. The kids on the team get treated like kings in and out of school. I really like Mike because he plays with a lot if heart. Hee takes the emotion from his off feild problems and puts it into his game. This reminds me of what I would do when I was in high school. I think that is the reason I really like the book because I can relate to it. I would recomend this book to all college freshmen football players because it can show them how lucky they are to play college football because everybody is good in high school. This makes you see how lucky you are to play at the next level.+

A MUST Read!

I adore this book. I read on a whim, it was one of the books in my bookshelf that I had not yet read, so I took it down and started to read. Within a few minutes I was so wrapped up in this novel that I did not leave my bedroom for 3 hours. Jane Eyre was a terrific tale of romance and bad luck. I have read it countless of times now, and every single time I have cried. I would definately reccommend this book to anyone! Please, please, please read! You will not regret it, I swear!

Letters to Karen
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Mass Market Paperback
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Letters to Karen. I plan on keeping this book for awhile, to use as a reference in my realtionships and eventually when I am married. Throughout the book, Charlie Shedd addresses nearly every significant issue that may arise in a realationship. Everything from moods to arguments is discussed along with helpful tips to getting through these issues. I especially liked the chapter on communication, not only are these guidelines regrading communication useful in a marriage, but also in realationships with friends and family.

Wow! amazing book!

I just finished reading this book, and I look at the C class I am currently enrolled in and am amazed: In the several weeks it took to go through this book, not only did i learn far more than i have in my class (and it's almost over) but the topics were easier to understand. For example: pointers had been pretty shaky for me, but a quick dose of this book fixed that in a few minutes, whereas my teacher managed to convey the same or less information over a space of 2 and 1/2 hours yet was more confusing than the book's description. If you want to program in C, you must get this book.

very quick readable biography

I read this book in probably a day and a half and was very moved by the tragic circumstances that the young Todd was subjected to. It is both amazing and wonderful that he could overcome the obstacles placed in front of him at an early age and break away from the addictions that were so prevelant within his career. I have been a true fan since I was in highschool,( which was a long time ago to say the least), and it is refreshing to see an artist that has grown with his audience. Much love goes out to a man who is now an inspiration to our youth.
