Such talent, such drive and focus. Would that his later novels were as powerful as these stories. Went to a garage sale and bought a bunch of used short story collections, including Night SHift, Different Seasons and Skeleton Crew. I had just finished Harry Shannon's killer 'Night of the Beast' when I dug into the older King stuff. Nobody does (did) it better. If you haven't read 'Survivor Type' you're a horror neophyte. It will gross you out and make you laugh at the same time, the sign of a master at work. Love this book and so will you.

...LAMB is exactly what we need--it's the perfect marriage of humor and humanity. Hilarious, touching, and wise--anyone who reads and loves this book (and all of Chris Moore's others) is a friend of mine (not that that's such a coup, but you get my drift). He obviously did his homework and then set his incredible imagination loose. What he has come up with for us is nothing short of absolutely original, filled with fun and heart. If Christ exists--and if he does he's surely an avid reader--he'll love this. Pass it on...

Wow! I bought this book by chance. I cannot believe I was so lucky to have "stumbled" upon such a wonderful, romantic, exciting, intriguing novel!! I read it over the weekend and I can't stop thinking about it! I was so caught up in it and with Ms. Brown's descriptive writing, I had a hard time "snapping out of it"--back into reality. The characters become so real! I cannot wait to read more Sandra Brown novels!

The Things They Carried
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
The Things They Carried was a great book. This was one of the many books that I could get into because its on an actuall war. It explains what the soldiers actually had to go through during and out of combate. It goes into great detail of the little things they did. Once you start reading this, it's actually like your right there beside the main character, or that you pretty much are the main character. I recommand this book to anyone, even if you don't like to read you will like this book and get into this.

Also, this book has a lot of information on SAX, DOM, JDOM, and it shows the differences when using each. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn JAVA and XML. Locked in Time
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Mass Market Paperback
Locked in Time, by Lois Duncan, is an action packed novel that you can never let go. Lois Duncan never seems to run out of marvelous surprises, just like a horrifying movie never knowing what is going to happen next. The novel tells how a young girl that has recently lost her mother can live with her dad's new fiance. That has a hidden secret that no one knows about , and how this might put an end to her life. I would recomend this book to anyone; it is a real eye-popper.

This book is perfection!

A wonderful story developed by a master, Elizabeth Thornton. Excellent plot, cast of characters and romance. You will come to love Gray and Deborah. Their story carries both a romance and suspense, without taking away from each other. The story is well established, the character development is superb and the pace of the story is perfect. You find yourself saying...only one more chapter and then she teases you into reading the whole book at one sitting! She introduces a small cast of supporting roles, who in my opinion should have their own stories. Somehow, Ms. Thornton has introduced them so successfully that it only adds and does not distract from the main characters. Ms. Thornton writes a superior romance, it is sheer agony to wait a year for each new release! I have read this book from cover to cover four times and have thoroughly enjoyed it!

UNDERSTANDING GERMAN NATIONALISM
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
ENLIGHTENED NATIONALISM is a profound and lucid account of how nationalism arose in Germany by tracing its roots to Prussia in the early 1800's after Prussia's defeat by Napoleon. The author's research is based on his groundbreaking analysis of previously unavailable documents. He carefully describes the interplay between King Frederick III, his aristocratic advisers -- some liberal, others staunchly reactionary -- the traditionalist landed nobility, and the growingly restive citizenry in the struggles over whether and how to grant Prussia a constitution. The book's well-documented insights help us understand how Prussia later came to dominate Germany.

I am hoping the author checks these reviews. I would like to hear from him or other readers. I read a lot, mostly fiction. I have never read a writing like this. I write well but I read from my pores I think this may be the best writing I've read. This is my first read from you. How/why can you do this? Why do you feel you can depend on your readers for all the spaces? Why do you trust us ?
