Wonderful Feel Good "Light" Reading
Rating: 5/5

I was thrilled with this sequel. I love the style in which Fielding writes; it gives the reader a real since of what life is actually like through Bridget's eyes and leaves out all of the "fancy fluff" that can be tedious. Once I began reading this book I could not put it down until 4 hours later when I realized it was 3am! It is so much fun to read and the ending leaves you feeling all warm and happy. We have all been in "Bridget Situations" and I'm sure we can all totally relate to her daily life. It is wondefully witty and, in Bridget's drunken terms "blurdy hurd terput down!"

I'am primarily a VLSI Design engineer working on a product requiring digital control. I'am using this Book along with Ditial Control by Franklin to understand the subject. This book is very comprehensive and the author takes pains to go into the details. I highly recommend it as a reference. For a newbie engineer (Yours truly) with limited time, this book has been a tough read. However if you are a student with enthu. to learn and time to burn, this is a Great book.

Don Dellilo once again proves he is one of our greatest contemporary masters of literature with his ambitious and panaromic novel "Underworld." Dellilo gives us his masterpiece, a multi-plex peep show into the last half our of century, a view on how we live and die in this country. A novel that illuminates and enlightens, and like "White Noise," a work of art that will help lead us into the new millenium. -Mike Le Hollywood, CA

teaches a lesson about being less fortunate

I read this to my 10 y/o daughter last night before bed; we both thought it was really good. My daughter is homeschooled by me and she has special needs and she thought it was apalling how the handicapped children were treated by their own parents. She was upset to see how Lucy was evicted and had no place to go; kids nowdays usually don't have that misfortune. I love Nixon's books and I thought this was a very accurate piece of historical fiction, good for 3-6th grade.

A gripping book on what it means to love God.
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
Chuck Colson is a great story teller, and he gives many gripping illustrations of what it means to love God in our everyday lives. He then ties it in with relevant Scripture passages. It's a very engaging read, and you won't be disappointed with it.The big lesson I got from it is that loving God is not just something that we say with our lips. But it's something that we demonstrate with what we do with our time and with our lives. I was especially touched by the story of the woman who shows her love for God by donating her lunch hour every day to leading a prayer and Bible study time at a nearby prison. She has six kids at home. But she felt compelled to do something extra for Jesus each day. The book is full of examples like this, and it turned out to be very satisfying.

There are places so familiar that to be orginal requires a tremendous act of strength and creativity on the part of the author. Certainly few fictional locations are as well-known to us as is OZ, both Baum's and Hollywood's. Gregory Maguire's feat is that much more amazing for it's ability to transform us to a new and exciting world with (vaguely) familiar characters and locales. I thoroughly enjoyed the characterizations, especially Glinda as an effete, spoiled, intellectual lightweight. The illustrations are few but beautifully rendered in a woodcut-like style. I did not care for the typeface nor its size (too small), but the book was well worth the effort

The Destructive Narcissistic Pattern changed my life!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
This is an excellent book which thoroughly addresses the signs of symptoms of the narcissistic personality. For years I used to think, "If I could only find the right words,I could explain to my husband how much his behavior is hurting me and others." Professor Brown has a deep understanding of what the experience is like for a family member. She not only addresses the behavior of the person with narcissistic behavior, but the thoughts, feelings and experience of loved ones. She gives guidelines and coping strategies to establish clear boundaries.
