The original version of the legendary story
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
In 1910, the classic story of a deformed, musical genius, haunting the dark cellers below the Palais Garnier in Paris, and abducting a beautiful young singer, first appeared in serial format. One year later, it was published as the novel "Le Fantome de L'Opera." Although almost forgotten as a book, the story became immortalized in a classic monster movie that was remade over 10 times, and has recently done well as a popular musical play. Although the novel owes it's recent popularity to the fame of the musical, it should be read for it's own sake, for it is an incredibly well told story. It's intense plot uses suspense in a way that would put Alfred Hitchcock to shame. It is utterly deplorable that this book is not as well known as it is.

The best Richard III novel I have ever read!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
Ms Penman's 'Sunne in Splendour' is quite simply one of the best novels I have ever read. My life has never been quite the same since the tragic tale of Richard III was first pointed out to me. As a Richard supporter I've read many novels and books on this tragic monarch. So far none have had quite the scope, the breadth, the accuracy and sheer believability this one has. I'm deeply moved every time I read it. The 'real' Dickon will never be forgotten while this book remains in print. The characterisation is superb - even minor and made-up people come to life in this book and the principal characters almost seem like one's own relatives. I've read this book loads of times and (like another reviewer) dip into it constantly but I never get tired of it. This is a book I'd recommend to anyone, whether or not you have any interest in medieval history.

The funniest and most interesting book ever
Rating: 5/5

I loved this book. I read it in only two days. Even if you don't know who Bruce Campbell is, I think you would find this book funny and inspirational. There are many great pictures and many interesting and yes, even strange emails to Bruce from fans.
I even had my book signed by Bruce in October when he was in my town promoting his great book. He's a great guy. Buy his book and make him a very rich man! :)P.S.
This book deserves more than 5 stars, but this thing only went up to 5.

Great the second time around! It should be read every year.
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
I read the book when it first came out and decided it was a fantastic tool for taking a personal audit. It helped me look at myself realistically and take some important actions in my life. When we jumped into 1999, I decided to pick up the book again. I was amazed at how much stuff is really in it. Just like a financial audit, it makes sense that a personal audit should be done regularly. Yes, it's great reading the second time around and will probably be something I'll do every year.

Science at Its Purest
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
This book taught me more about science than any of the physics, chemistry, and general science classes I have attended. It should be made a required reading before any student begins his/her journey into the realms of science. It teaches us what our greatest tool - science - truly is. Here, Carl Sagan takes us into an enlightening journey of the human endeavour to seek out the truth about the universe we live in. Here, he shows us that science is not just about the bodies of knowledge we have so lovingly accumulated - but about the process and tool we have used to discover this knowledge -- the scientific method. If you are looking for a book that will inspire, entertain, and most importantly, educate, then look no further. This is one book I will always cherish, and make sure that my children have read before they even begin questioning the meaning of their existence.
