No book has ever affected me so powerfully.

This book is simple to read, yet incredibly captivating and compelling. I have just finished reading it (and I quite literally could not put it down), and I am already purchasing several copies as gifts. It has affected me so profoundly that it is hard to find the words. The book takes the classic question "What would Jesus do?" and opens one's eyes and heart to the possibilities. I would recommend this book to Christian, Jew or agnostic alike, and believe all could benefit from its insightful story.

This book had excellant pictures and info!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
I bought this book last weekend and I have finished reading it now and it's only Wednesday! This book had incredible pictures. Pages and pages of great pictures that you have to love. James Cameron also sits down with you and goes from the casting right down to the camera shots. I really gained a new appreciation for how hard he really worked to make sure that this movie was the best. He also went into incredible detail right down to the etiquette and which side the waiters were to pour the wine from. It was a marvelous book and I'd recommend it to any fan. Even if you don't want to read it the pictures could entertain you for hours!!

As capitan of the Destiny and having experienced this storm first hand, I can say that Tony's work is by far the most accurate of all the articals I have read. This is the book I recogmend when asked for my story. For those of you planning an ocean crossing, I would suggest that there are lessions learned during this storm that will prove of great value to you should you ever find yourselve in "the wrong place at the wrong time". My views of survival in extreem heavy weather were forever changed. It's a good read.

GREAT BOOK TO READ
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
Christopher Moore has an intellectual humor that is untouched. I'm glad he is sharing this in his novels. With this book (Lamb), I became hooked (I then read Fluke).
There are a lot of excellent authors out there today, each with his or her own personal style (that match that of another author). I really enjoy Christopher Moore because he seems to have a style of his own. I would read this book again and again.

I Hated The Left Behind Series But I Loved This:
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
I absolutely loved this book. It was a real page turner!!
I really hated the left behind series (boring) and I thought this was very intreaging. The books price is a little high though, but is well worth every panny.
I liked the new use of characters, combined with thier sence of reality concerning thier personal challenges. I am not going to discuss the book because It might ruin the read for you. So if you love mystery, suspense, and christian lititure please buy this. Its worth it.

Fabulous light read!
Rating: 5/5

As a 24 year old whose friends had chosen Harry Potter as the next selection for a not-so-intellectual book club, I admit that I wasn't expecting much. I cannot tell you what a pleasant surprise H.P. was. Sure, some of the plot is formulaic; it's a children's book. But it's more imaginative than plenty of fiction aimed at adult readers. I was especially impressed that Rowling does not shy away from dealing with topics that are difficult for youmg readers. Certainly read it with your kids, but if you don't have kids, don't wait!

Alicia:My Story was a very wonderful book. I've never really read anything about the Holocaust and was very excited when my teacher placed this book in front of me. The further I got into the book, the more interested I was. The young survivor had so much courage to live through the Holocaust as well as the loss of her family and friends. We can all learn a lesson about this book. A lesson in love, a lesson on survival, but most of all, a lesson of hope.

The Best Intro to PICs That I Have Found
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
I teach microcontrollers at a well-known university, using the PIC 16F84. My course is in the sophomore year, so I need a book that assumes very little previous knowledge and experience. This book does a nice job of explaining the basic functioning of the PIC's hardware. The programming language used is a version of BASIC, which my students have already studied. The use of the PICBasic compiler and EPIC programmer are explained extremely well. The book contains 12 projects to build, starting from simple flashing LEDs, and moving on into motor control, LCDs, A/D conversions and serial communications. All projects are explained step-by-step and are illustrated with clear schematics and photos. Material costs are minimal. For all these reasons, John Iovine's book is the ONLY book I recommend for beginners. If you have a beginner's knowledge of electronics and have done some BASIC-language programming, this book will give you a solid foundation in the PIC microcontroller.

Fun to read, excellent choice for the exam!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
If you want to pass SCJP with confidence, do not pass up on this book! I spent about 1 week going through the chapters and I passed the exam with over 80%! On top of that, this is the only book I used for the test preparation. The only imperfection is the software simulation tests are not exact as it could be to the real exam. I'm glad that I found this book and I would recommend it to anyone taking the exam. It really makes my life easier!
