The Good, the Bad, and the Undead - book cover picture

Remember what you thought your life was as a kid? Rachel Morgan gets to go to Night School and find out that her past isn't what she thought it was. Someone is killing Ley Line Witches and Rachel Morgan seems to have found herself near the top of the list. There is a nice sub-plot about a ketchup thief...;) Oh, and vampires, more vampires...among other things. Nothing I can say will match reading the book for yourself. Kim Harrison is more than a one book wonder and the evolving story of Rachel Morgan has me excited about book three "Any which way but Dead", due out in July.

Essentials of Supply Chain Management - book cover picture

The book focuses on operational and tactical aspects of supply chain management. The coverage is clear, logical and highlights key points well. Each chapter ends with a summary. There is a wealth of figures, tips and techniques and explanatory "boxes", all of which are concise, relevant and useful.
Supply chain management has moved rapidly from 'poor relation' to high strategy, driving strategic alliances and involving world wide logistics. This book does no more than touch on these wider strategic issues; its concern is with the fundamentals which provide the platform on which strategy can be successful. It succeeds admirably within its objectives.

Couldn't be Better!

Book title: Mossflower (Redwall, Book 2)

Mossflower (Redwall, Book 2) - book cover picture

You should read Martin the Warrior and you'll find he lied when he told about his past in Mossflower. Martin's past is full of adventure, great moments, even love, but most of all, tragity. Anyways, about Mossflower: Wow! This book is really awesome, and my favorite charters were Martin, Gonff, Dinny, Skipper, Amber, Gingivere and basicly all the good guys. Also, have any of you that have also read Redwall noticed that the cat Julien that Matthias meets, well his full name is Squire Julien Gingevere. Gingivere was Tsarmina's brother in Mossflower. I bet that just could be where Jaqcques thought up his name: From Redwall, since I'm pretty sure he wrote Redwall first, even though Redwall comes after Mossflower. I bet Gingivere was Julians ancestor. hmmmmmm.... Anyhow, thought that was cool. Mossflower is a fabulous book, Martin is one of my favorite heros. Read it.

Not just for Bobos

Book title: Modern Coin Magic
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
Modern Coin Magic - book cover picture

There's no word to describe this book other than fantabulous. It is the one book every coin prestidigitator must have. It has everything you could ever possibly want to know about coing manipulation from simple passes and vanishes to spectacular routines and seemingly impossible flourishes. It starts from the very beginning so anybody can learn from this book, and finishes where few masters of the art tread. Completely comprehensive, if you so much as master the first couple chapters of the book, you can amaze almost anybody and if you master a couple more, you can amaze the rest. Eveything is clearly explained with many detailed diagrams. It has been the bible for coin magic ever since it came out and I doubt it will be replaced anytime soon. This is a classic that you cannot do without.

Lost Souls - book cover picture

Poppy Z. Brite has made one of the most horrifying creatures in our history to be a romantic, gothic, and beautiful creation. Nothing truly shows the way adolesence is in today's society. The fact that she uses New Orlean's in this book makes it just 10 times better. She has really shown me that we are all lost souls searching for a meaning in this confused place we call life. She has a deeper understanding for the gothic society. Thank you, Ms. Brite for writing such an outstanding inspired me to start reading again.

Only officially endorsed autobiography of Garth Brooks

Book title: American Thunder : The Garth Brooks Story
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
American Thunder : The Garth Brooks Story - book cover picture

This is most compelling of all the Garth books. It's the only book that Garth Brooks is quoted as "having read every word and it brought tears to my eyes." The story about Garth Brooks, Hall of Fame member Robert Metzgar, Booking agent Joe Harris, Sr. and car dealer Bob Farr saving a local Christian family from starvation at Christmas time is one of the most touching, wonderful Christmas stories ever told.

Garth's personal commitment to charitable giving and his love of children leap from every page. It makes you fall in love with him as a superstar all over again. This book is a "must" major motion picture. The Chistmas scene alone is worth every penny you pay for this incredible charismatic autobiographical account of the world's greatest country act. If you want intense drama that brings tears to your eyes at times, this is the best of all the Garth books.

Hattie loves Harriet the Spy

Book title: Harriet the Spy
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
Harriet the Spy - book cover picture

Harriet the Spy is a great book. It tells you not to write mean things about people if you don't want them to find out. It is one of the best books I've ever read. Harriet likes writing in a notebook and because of that I have started writing in my own notebook. I won't write mean things about my friends, the book has taught me that. Harriet has taught me how to win back friends and how to solve problems. I recommend that everyone should read this book.
