It's like a cake... The fantasy makes the cake, the way you're thrown into the story is the frosting, and the sprinkles are a touch of romance. I do agree with the below reader, that Luthe would have made a better match than Tor. But she wrote the Blue Sword, where she mentioned the marraiage of Aerin and Tor, BEFORE she wrote this book, so she couldn't really help it. But man, it tore at my heart when she left Luthe. I wonder if Aerin never really died, and when Tor died, she left her position as Queen to join Luthe in his forest haven... now that's something to think about.

This book is a small book, and does not contain that much information on sex. However the lessons learned in this book are life changing. True, Hayden does not have a PhD from Harvard, but you don't always need a degree to have wonderful information to share. The sexual technique in her book is expressed in very few words, but it gets to the point... and it works! You don't always need many words to express an idea or concept that is life changing.

Reading this masterpiece is what I imagine it must have been like to discover Tutankahmen's tomb. Every chapter is a new discovery; every letter and newspaper article and pamphlet extract is a jewel in an incredible mosaic of early American history that you have never seen before. With an original and effective use of primary sources Rosenfeld has created a stunning portrait of the struggle to create and sustain our republic. I found the book immensely readable and, especially in the depiction of the halting and, at times, incompetent prosecution of the war with Great Britain, almost impossible to put down. My highest recommendation.

I loved this book from Page One, and still loved it at the end. The protagonists are gutsy and short-sighted and irritating and magical... they're human, and beautifully so. The sub-plot of the comics is nothing short of brilliant. Each one of them was so believable, I wished he had a companion comic book to go along with the book. I've recommended this to many people... truly worthy of the Pulitzer, unlike the doubtful book that won this year's prize.... Compelling read. You'll be thinking about the characters, human or otherwise, long after you put it down.

Project Management for Engineers and Construction - book cover picture

I had the priviledge of going through this book while studying under Dr. Oberlender @ Oklahoma State and putting it to use once I graduated. The text is written in straight forward language and includes many practical "real world" situations. It includes all the basics from conceptualization to start-up. Topics such as organizing, planning, staffing, directing, and many more. An excellent reference for any manager's office.

Killing Mr. Griffin (Laurel Leaf Books) - book cover picture

I really liked this book. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not. The more I kept reading it, the better the story got. The basic story of this book is about a couple of highschool students who really dislike their English teacher, Mr. Griffin. Mr. Griffin is a very strict teacher and a man of his principles. In an attempt to teach their teacher a lesson, a group of students plot their revenge. I especially enjoyed this book because of the high level of suspense and little bit of mystery mixed into it. As I read this book, I became “attached” to one of the characters. Each student that kidnaps Mr. Griffin has a different personality and one of those personalities matched that of mine. Being a highschool student myself, I was able to “get into” this book and the characters. I recommend this book to anyone who like a good edgy and suspenseful book.

I teach English in Japan. This book has become my greatest tool. The simple organization of this book makes it easy to understand and also a useful reference guide. There are times when my advanced student will ask me a question as to why something is said in a certain way and I just can't seem to be able to tell them, I can go to the book and find the answer. It has become a "don't leave home without it" tool in my teaching profession. I highly recommend this book

Lehane's latest novel proves why he is a master storyteller. There are good authors and great authors but very few, like Lehane, are brilliant. Lehane manages to creatively and brilliantly weave this story in such a way that the reader is blindsided and completely knocked off balance. He did a wonderful job of it in Mystic River and has done a masterful and utterly amazing job of it in Shutter Island. At the conclusion of this novel, the reader might start to question his/her own sanity.

Poemcrazy : Freeing Your Life with Words - book cover picture

Upon reading 'Poemcrazy' one is inspired to write.
The goal of this book is, I believe, just that.
My recent writing has entered into a realm of activity that can be attributed to, among other things, the reading of this edition. The humor and insight are uncommon and metaphorical in that they expose the most profound connections with the most uncommon thoughts, ideas and places which then causes the reader/poet to delve into those motivating forces which makes one write.

The Last Kingdom - book cover picture

This book has got to be one of the most compelling reads of my life. I've reread this book many times since I first got it. Throughout the book I keep thinking what I would do if I was in Uhtred's situation. Would I stay with Ragnar and the danes becoming a warrior to fight Alfred and the English. Or join the over pious Alfred and defend England. As much as i hate to admit it, being a dane would, in my mind be a better choice. The only down side to this book is that, it kind of makes you start disliking Christianity and wanting to be a pagan.
All in all this was a fantastic book. A most have for anyone who enjoys historical fiction.
