Best kept secret was a fantastic book. It is one of those books that you could not put down no matter how hard you tried and if you did you could not wait to pick it up again. The book was just some fantastic reading. It is nice to buy a book that is good from the begining to the end. Any one who like Kimberla books will definite like this book. But you have to read Casting the First Stone which is the first book then To much of a good thing and Best kep Secret. In order to understand the characters in the book you will enjoy them better if you read all three.

My "bible" on parenting

I have read the book twice and continue to reference it. This book has helped me understand my 7 year old son's behavior. I first read it when he was 4. My son is very intense, sensitive, perceptive, persistent, and energetic. He cannot handle any kind of change if he is not forewarned. He notices every little detail, will argue till he is blue in the face, and cannot sit while eating at the dinner table!!
Now we are able to prevent many "blowups" because of the clues this book has taught us to look for. I even realized that I am a spirited person as well and that is why he and I were clashing w/ a lot of things unlike he and his father. I cannot praise this book enough. I will constantly refer to it and I plan on giving his wife a copy when he gets married!! Thank you Mary Sheedy Kurcinka!!

This is my favorite of Koontz's books, at least so far, although I've never been disappointed by this author. Dark Rivers of the Heart shows how much normalcy can surround even the most evil in our society. There is also the added intrigue of the government and what personal dramas and manipulations may be going on behind the scenes. Dean Koontz is truly a master at weaving ordinary characters into extrodinary circumstances.

This is perhaps C.S. Lewis' most famous work. And rightly so, it is a memorable and orignal tale. Christian metaphors are generously applied in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, however they are sufficiently subtle and general enough so as not to offend readers of any background or creed. The story stresses themes of forgiveness, sacrifice and the struggle for freedom against evil. All this set in a fantasy world full of talking beasts and mythological creatures. The heros are 4 british children. If you've run out of Harry Potter books this is more than a substitute. Regardless you won't be dissapointed. For fans of Christian literature this is also a great book for you library. Lewis is very subtle but very powerful Christian writer. Great for kids and adults alike I give it my highest recomendation.

BUY IT!

When I first got the book, I was very eager to start reading it. When I did first start reading the book. I did not regret it. This book is very, very entertaining. You will have trouble putting it down. Everyone of the stories that Mick told, was great. When I got about half-way through the book, I started to get very upset, as I knew that the book had to end sometime. This is a great book to read, and with the possibility of Mick Foley's retirement approaching, I highly reccomend, that everyone, and not just wrestling fans, pick this book up. Thats about it. Do yourself a favor, and buy this book. Bang Bang!

For real and imaginary sailors from wherever
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
Bought this book as required reading about ten years ago without a lot of interest in either the US in the 1830s or life on a sailing ship. Rediscovered it on the shelf recently and was simply delighted by reading it.
If you are a sailor, you will be fascinated by Dana's minute descriptions of the practical sailing; if you are not, these descriptions might tempt you to learn it.
Dana wrote in the 1840s, i.e. he is refreshingly politically in-correct without being racist. He draws masterful portraits of his fellow sailors and a lot of people he met in his more than two years before the mast. His descriptions of Mexican California in the 1830s are lively and colorful, and while reading you will learn alot about the social and economic conditions in the US, in Mexico and on the high seas at that time.

Rozan really proves her versatility in this book, writing from the point of view of Lydia Chin's occasional partner, Bill Smith. Not being a man, I can't vouch absolutely for her accuracy, but it sure seemed like an accurate portrait of what it's like to live inside a guy's brain. Like China Trade, this is a terrific mystery that keeps you turning the pages to find out whodunnit. But it's more than that--it's also a well-written novel with complex, well-developed characters.

The Best Six Sigma Text Book!!!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
I have been in the Six Sigma and Lean fields since 1995 and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt since 1999.
I hold GB, BB and MBB certifications by the Six Sigma Academy and by Johnson & Johnson.
And I can say that Mr. Brefogle's is the best Six Sigma text book available. I use it as a text book for all my Green, Black, and Master Black Belt classes.
I have read many Six Sigma books and I rate this book, "Implementing Six Sigma" as the best in its class.
One particular thing I like is the advice he offers on avoiding the wrong use or interpretation of some of the tools, i.e., process capability, experimentation traps, etc.
Again, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely fabulous!

I was passing through a bookstore in the airport, looking for something to read and I saw this book in the top seller section, with only one left. I knew then I had to get it, even without knowing anything about the author and I am glad I did. The characters are likeable, even the 'miss has it all' Darcy. The romance between the characters develops at the right speed and in the right way. The style of writing gives you those little butterflies you experience in your stomach when love is in front of you. I really loved this book and I loved the characters in it. I especially like that there are no detailed steamy sex scenes between the two, when reading this you come to respect them as characters and it seems better that they are given their privacy. I loved this book, I cant wait for the next one.

I rarely read non-fiction...how glad I am that I made an exception in this case! Kitchen Confidential is a must for anyone who likes to eat, and don't we all? It is riveting. After I read it I was in New York City and made it a point to eat at Les Halles (where Anthony Bourdain is the chef). It was wonderful! Also the bathroom was sparkling (read the book) and I peeked in to the kitchen and got a total thrill after having read the "scoop". So I highly recommend the book and I also recommend a trip to Les Halles when next you find yourself in the Big Apple.
