Dark Challenge
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Mass Market Paperback
Ive read all the titles in the Dark series and have to disagree with a previous reviewer, Dark Challenge lives up to the other books and surpasses them in many ways.Ms Feehan shows the heroine has being just as powerful as her lifemate. She introduces other charactors that are sure to make readers want to hear their stories. Darius's story is sure to be eagerly waited for, just as Gregori's was. I only wish the publisher would get Christine feehan's books out on the shelves sooner.

Are you ready to learn a forign language?
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
Any software engineer should be ready to accept the learning curve of learning a new language when reading this book. This book will take the reader into semantics of the symbols in UML in light of the Object Oriented world. Object-Oriented terminology is a prerequisite for the reader; otherwise, it will be at best like reading Greek to the English reader. It is a textbook dealing with the grammar, vocabulary, structural modeling, and behavior modeling of UML. This book is excellent in its presentation of its subject matter. I cannot recommend this book enough. Be prepared before tackling this book.

This book is what one comes to expect from Henri Nouwen: simple, winsome, deep, and compassionate. I serve as a pastor and find his comments still contemporary, though they are the product of Nouwen's contemplation of twenty years ago.
Nouwen borrows not only the content, but the habit of desert wisdom in providing commentary that is brief and compelling. His invitation to follow in the practice of Abba Arsenius by embracing three movements (to flee, to keep silence, and to pray) is simply organized and powerfully presented.
Nouwen's description of the 'compulsive minister' is accurate in every detail and served to draw me into the lessons as if this book were written for me in particular.
"The Way of the Heart" is directed at those who are engaged in the practice of ministry - but it's lessons are easily applied to life outside the practice of ministry. I heartily recommend it to one and all.

I loved it!

I have a few simple words of advice. If you like:
sci-fi -you might be a little disappointed with this book.
historical fiction - you'll enjoy it (I did and I don't even like historical fiction)
romance (like me) - you'll simply adore Mendoza and Nicholas.
I must also inform you that the beginning is slow and boring, but just slog through the first 50 pages or so and you'll be thanking me for making your reading-life so much better.

Pascarelli & Quilter's book is an absolute must-read for all Health & Safety Coordinators and for all people working with keyboards. Practically-oriented, the authors have carefully outlined all of the common manifestations of cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) one encounters as a result of repetitive strain injuries (RSIs). The book is resourceful, an easy read, and covers the subject thoroughly. Jim Lovette RN, MA

This is a fantastic book for women coping with health issues
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
Written by a female ob-gyn, she takes the surprising perspective of linking the mind-body connection and engaging your spiritual essence. I found it to be easy to read, the stories and personal anecdotes are especially enlightening. I am now re-reading (for the third time) one of my favorite parts, Steps to Healing. If you want to take control of your health and be an informed consumer, this book is for you. Dr. Northrup gives you permission to feel, to grieve, to move on, to get better. I am thrilled that this book is getting attention through Oprah's show. I saw Dr. Northrup on a PBS special and was immediately enthralled with her teaching.

This book was good, why are people so skeptical?

I loved this book! It made me cry, laugh hysterically until my family looked at me like I was deranged, and gave me goosebumps at times. I think for a book to be able to do all that, its pretty darn good. The only thing that bothered me about the whole book was that it went on and on about how terribly huge Jemima was, and she only weighed 217 at her highest, thats not very heavy at all! I'd love to weigh 217. Other than that I thought this book was great. It made me want to go out and exercise....and find my Ben. (For the record, I have never in my life wanted to exercise) Every fat girl in the world should read this book, its a good laugh, and a good cry, all wrapped into one!

The best book ever!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
I recently bought this book on a whim and it has got to be the best book that I've ever read. I read Bob Colacelo's book as a starting point and I'm glad that I did even though it was sour grapes on Andy.
This book is so chatty, sad, funny, insensitive and revealing about Andy Warhol and his role as the most public man on the New York Party scene of the 70's and 80's. It's a real time capsule of world events as well, and it will bring back alot of memories for people who lived through the political and social turmoil of those decades.
It's a huge book and you really get your moneys worth on Andy Warhol's psyche in all of it's positive and negative glorious-ness. It's taking me a few weeks to read it and I can't put it down, except that I have to to go to work every day. I'm really enjoying it alot!

a great book, which is informative to any Star Wars addict

I really enjoyed this book. I have read a few of the other reviews, some say that the writing is flat. I disaggree. For instance the first story, the Story of IG-88 is about an assassin droid, written from his perspective. It, or at least to me, showed a completely alien mind, free of compassion or pity. The Story of Bossk kept me reading page after page. And of course the Story of Boba Fett was truly as great as the great Bounty Hunter himself

...What they've known in Texas all along
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Audio Cassette
This is one of those times when an entertaining piece of writing should be read by EVERYONE. Take heed to what the highly opinionated Ms. Ivins documents with such hilarity here. It's a hoot...and by what I can tell from what my Texan friends have been telling me...it's the truth.Very funny...and very scary when you think that this over-priviledged, knee-jerk vapor-head wants the most powerful job in the world. (We may need all those old 60's bomb shelters yet folks. Duck and cover!) By the way, take a good look at the previous "one-star" posts parroting the GOP party line on this book. Suspiciously similar I think. This book is straight-on. Read it and vote accordingly.
